Moonee Valley Heritage Gap Study

The latest draft of the Moonee Valley Heritage Gap Study is now available and council are seeking feedback from the public by Friday 29th August 2014.

The study aims to identify gaps in Moonee Valley’s heritage protection by identifying all places dating from the time of European contact which are of potential heritage value and not yet protected by a Heritage Overlay. It also sets out a prioritised work program that may be used to guide which heritage studies should be undertaken in the future. This particularly study does not set out to recommend heritage overlays, provide a detailed assessment of each identified place, or commit Council to any further heritage work. It sets out a prioritised work program that may be used to guide which heritage studies should be undertaken in the future

A print copy of the study is available for viewing at every branch of Moonee Valley Libraries. The study is also available online, where you can also access an interactive map of the study, submit your feedback, learn more about the study, and watch short videos that explain more about heritage in Moonee Valley.
